198. Bill An Act additional to an Act to organize, govern and discipline the Militia of this State, was read a 3rd time and amended and then recommitted with instructions to Report tomorrow. Sent up for concurrence.

Governors Message. [see appendix page 18] transmitting address and Resolutions of Alabama on the subject of Slavery, was read and referred to the Committee who have under consideration the South Carolina Resolutions in concurrence

Petition of R K Rice and others for a Bank at Foxcroft was read and referred in concurrence to the committee on Banks and Banking Remonstrance of David Dunlap and others against the petition of Moses Mason Junr, was referred in concurrence to the Committee on Rail Roads and Canals.

Bill An Act to incorporate the Kennebec and Boston Steam Navigation Company, was read a third the amendment proposed by the Senate, nonconcurred and the Bill passed to be engrossed as amended by the House on sheet annexed marked R. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill An Act to incorporate the Proprietors of the Warren Bridge was read a 1st and 2nd time and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading

Petition of John C Hayden and others for the purchase of the soil of the upper Eastern Indian Township -

was read and referred in concurrence to the Committee on State Lands.
