Finance be instructed to enquire into the expediency of enlarging the appropriation for internal improvements -

On motion by Mr Hobbs of Eastport, Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of so altering the law providing for the payment of costs in criminal prosecutions as to authorize the County Commissioner to allow Justices of the Peace their taxable costs where the person accused is acquitted. Sent up for concurrence.

An order came from the Senate instructing the committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of passing a general law requiring the Clerks of the Courts, in the several Counties, in this State to cause to be published in one or more newspapers in each of said Counties, the items of the expenses, of said counties annually for concurrence - and the House concurred.

And then the House adjourned
