Petition of The Erosphian Adelphi of Waterville College to be incorporated was read and referred to the Committee on Literature & Literary Institution. Sent up for concurrence.
Bill - An Act to incorporate the East Machias Sluice Company - - An Act to incorporate the Saturday Cove Granite Company - - An Act to incorporate the Exchange Fire and Marine Insurance Company - An Act to incorporate the Sebec Manufacturing Company - - An Act to establish the Androscoggin Canal and Mill Corporation - An Act to incorporate the Belfast Flannel Manufacturing Company which were severally read 1st and 2d time and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.
On motion by Mr Holmes of Alfred Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of increasing the Salary of the Attorney General. Sent up for concurrence.
Bill An Act to incorporate the Machias Water Power & Mill Company, came from the Senate amended, and the House passed the Bill to be engrossed in concurrence.
