Bill - An Act to incorporate the Frankfurt Steam Mill Wharf & Ware House Corporation An Act to incorporate the Kennebunk Port Granite & Rail Road Company An Act to authorize Jesse Russell Junr and Bernard C Bailey to build a dam across tide waters in the town of Woolwich - were severally read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3 reading.

Bill - An Act to incorporate the Bark Extract Corporation, came from the Senate indefinitely postponed for concurrence - and the House recede from the vote & concur with the Senate.

The Committee on Finance to which was referred "an order instructing them to enquire into the expediency of taking 6,793 44/100 from the valuation of the town of Starks and of adding the same to the valuation of Mercer, reported that Legislation is inexpedient - and the report was accepted.

Resolve authorizing the acting Quarter Master General to convey a lot of land, and to dispose of the gun house in Bangor, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of James S Holmes & others for a State road from Bangor to Moosehead Lake was read & referred to the Committee on Roads, &c - Sent up for concurrence.

The House reconsidered their vote of the 5th instant assigning Wednesday next to consider the order asking for the opinion of the Supreme Judicial Court &c, moved by Mr Cushing of Augusta, &
