Bill - An Act to incorporate the Damariscotta Buck Manufacturing Company were severally read a 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bills - An Act to incorporate the Livingston Academy - An Act to incorporate the Minot Shoe Manufacturing Company - were severally read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve for investing money in Bank Stock & receiving dividends - was read once & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a second reading.

Resolve - authorizing the Board of Internal Improvements to commence a Geological Survey of the State - was read once and on motion Ordered that 2000 copies of the same with the report of the Committee, be printed for the use of the Legislature.

On motion of Mr. Davis of McVernon, Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary enquire into the expediency of providing by law that Sheriffs shall leave written or printed abstracts of their fees with persons upon whom they serve units and levy executions. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr Cushing of Augusta, Ordered, That the Committee on Literature & Literary Institutions be instructed to inquire into the expediency of further providing by law for regulating the location of School Houses. Sent up for concurrence.
