Report on the petition of Stephen Parlin & others referring the same to the next Legislature was read & accepted. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill An Act allowing costs to persons charged with crimes in certain cases, was read a 3d time and amended, and then the further consideration of the subject postponed until Thursday next.

Resolve for investing money in Bank Stock and receiving dividends - was read a second time and indefinitely postponed. Sent up for concurrence.

Leave to Withdraw was granted in concurrence on Petition of Nathan Winslow & others - - John B Cross & others -

Bill - An Act to incorporate the Vassalboro & Sidney Dam Company, came from the Senate recommitted for concurrence and the House concurred

Bill - An Act prohibiting the emission and circulation of Bank Bills of a small denomination & certain others came from the Senate amended as on sheet annexed marked A for concurrence - and the House pass the Bill to be engrossed in concurrence and the question was decided by yeas & nays as follows yeas 95 nays 54. [ See appendix page 91.]

An Act concerning Stud Horses & Jacks, was read a 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.
