Saturday April 2nd 1836

Met according to adjournment.

Mr Foster from the Committee appointed upon the subject, reported several Resolves in relation to the Protection and Defence of the State and the Report was accepted and the Resolves were passed & 1000 copies ordered to be printed for members.

On motion of Mr Wells of Hallowell Ordered, That the Committee on the Pay Roll be instructed to make up the pay of the assistant Clerk of this House, up to and including Wednesday next.

The Committee on engrossed Bills reported as truly engrossed Bill - An Act to incorporate the Proprietors of Smiths Block in Bangor - - altering the time of a term of the Supreme Judicial Court in the County of Lincoln - additional Act regulating Elections - - to regulate the sale of Rye & Indian Meal - to authorize the collection of interest on Executions - - to incorporate the Ellsworth Bank - - to authorize the cession of jurisdiction and real estate to the United States in certain cases - - to incorporate the Neguemkeag Bank - further to regulate the fees of County Attornies which were severally passed to be Enacted. Sent up for concurrence
