In Senate. On motion of Mr Swift, Ordered, that a special message be sent to the Governor and Council, informing that body that Samuel Small has been duly elected Councilors, to advise the Governor in the Executive part of the Government, for the current political year; and that he has been duly qualified as the Constitution directs to enter upon the discharge of his official duties - Which message was delivered by Mr Swift.
Petition of the inhabitants of the town of Washington, praying for aid in repairing a County Road through said town, came up from the House referred to a Joint Select Committee, consisting on the part of the House, of Messrs Newhall of Washington, Hinkley of Bluehill, and Wells of Wells, with such as the Senate may join read and referred and Messrs, Rogers, and Robinson of Lincoln are joined in concurrence.
