Yes sir, he had a number of different coats that he wore Q. You didn't see him wear any new coat A. No sir, I don't remember of seeing a new coat on him. I think he wore no new coat while I was there Q. Sure of that A. Morally sure of it Q. Were the various coats that he wore all ragged A. Not particularly ragged. They were whole but old, worn. Q. Were they thick coats A. They were made out of stout cloth not particularly thick. Q. But common stout cloth? A. Stout coats.
