Q. You made no examination of the body at all A. No. I went immediately out and called the supervisor Q. What is your rule in reference to making personal or digital examinations of female patients A. We are not accustomed to do that. Q. Both you and Dr. Sanborn A. We don't do that. If it is necessary we call a physician from outside Q. Why do you adopt that rule A. In order to save any reports happening Q. As a measure of caution A. Yes sir. I remember a case that we had where I wanted an examination and I called for Dr. Briggs in his day, and he came over and made the necessary examination. And as I was saying, I went in with Miss Harris and we put the woman to bed and removed the feotus [ fetus ] and all the appendages. Q. Who performed the operation A. I did myself. Q. It was entirely successful was it A. Yes sir, entirely; no trouble whatever.
