to keep the whole building warm. These coils of half a mile in length nearly will certain a large amount of ("hot" crossed out) ("water" line through) hear, and as a rule they are full of hot water, so that it is not probable that in any case sine I have lived in that house that those coils have been cold enough in winter so a man could comfortably bear his hand on them at any moment. I cannot say it could not be done, but I never touched them when I could bear my hand on them, and I have tried them at night and all times of day repeatedly. The fires in the builders furnishing the steam to these coils were in a cols banked about 11 o'clock and started again about 3 previous to (lines over "last" ) this winter. This winter we haven't run so late.
