A. There has been a change in the whole system of heating within the last 6 months. The little windows for the air to pass into the coils took their air from the basement in all cases, except in wing, until this winter. A year ago this fall we took one wing and tried an experiment with it which worked so well that it has been extended throughout since. It was to this effect, the air by the new arrangement is taken directly from outdoors and conveyed to these coils without coming in contact with the air at the basement, and introduced into the coils and warmed and allowed to pass up. That is done by various applications of one general principle. That is to say there are apertures outdoors to take in the air and then carry through these coils by the same principle, varying the application. But the case of the third male wing was peculiar. we took in a window or quite a large collection of windows and by a long box amounting to 135
