1132 By Mr. Lakin Q. Describe how the meat soup is made? A. We usually took the beef ? and the likes of that - potatoes and onions, rice or barley. The materials were as good as I ever saw. I always had as much of it as I wanted to use. I tried to make good soup. By Mr. Hall Q. Did you see much of the patients while you were there? A. Yes sir, considerably Q. Did any of them work down with you? A, Yes sir Q. You saw the out in the yard and about? A. Yes sir Q. Did you ever see any of them in there treated any other way then kindly? A. I never did but once Q. What was that? A. When I first went there at work I saw a man choked bad. A man took him by the throat and pressed back as hard as he could Q. Was he on the ground? A. He was down, The man was sitting down and then the other man took him by the throat and choked him, Could not say how long it took him
