Dear Sir,

Will you be so kind as to obtain a copy of the Description Roll of my company (D) of the 2nd Regt. V. M. M.  I have not had one because the morning before the regiment left Bangor, Gen. Buster hained it of me with the promise of a copy but failed to give me one.

I have written several times to get [?] and if you will be so kind to get one for me and send the bill of whatever expense it may be you will greatly oblige your
