Bill regulating the Survey of Land was taken up and committed to a Joint Special Committee, consisting, on the part of the Senate of Messrs. Frelsey and Farnham, with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence.

Bill enlarging the jurisdiction of Justices of the Peace in civil cases, (reported by a Joint Select Committee on an order relative to that subject) was read once and tomorrow at two o'clock assigned for a second reading. 

Bill to incorporate the Kenduskeag Canal Corporation was read a second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.
