rejected the votes of the town of Whitefield in the County of
Lincoln and Brooksville in the County of Hancock because
the copies of the list of votes were not attested by the Selectmen
 - of the town of Alexander in the County of Washington because the list of votes stating the number of votes given
has been mutilated and partially obliterated - of the 
town of Orono in the County of Penobscot because the
meeting is certified to have been holden in 1807 - 
of the town of Thorndike in the County of Waldo because
the copy of the list of votes is not attested by the town Clerk
 - and the town of Monroe in the County of Waldo
and of Mariaville plantation in the County of Hancock
because the copies of the list of votes do not designate the 
town or plantation in which the votes were given - 
There are no returns of votes for Governor from 
Thompson pond plantation in the County of Cumberland - Plantation No9 in the County of Washington
Plantation No7 &  Plantation No 8 in the County of
Oxford.  Dutton, Hermon, Howland & Sunkhaze
Plantation in the County of Penobscot - 
Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence -

Mr Sweat from the Committee reported Rules and
orders which were read and adopted and on motion by
Mr Hathaway the Secretary was directed to procure 
200 copies to be printed for the use of the members -

Agreeably to assignment the Senate proceeded to ballot for
a Chaplain. Messrs Cushman, Richardson & Parsons
appointed a committee to receive, sort and count the votes
reported that the whole number of votes given was      18
