Resolve making advance out of the State Treasury for printing was read once and today at a quarter past 12 assigned for a second reading.

[Report further Legislation unnecessary]
Report of the committee on banks and banking on order of January 26th requiring the return of all debtors to banks their sureties &c on order of February 6th respecting the Agencies of Insurance companies and the Report of the Commissioners appointed by the Governor and Council to examine Banks that further legislation on said subjects is unnecessary was read and accepted in concurrence.

Bill defining the powers and duties of Justices of the Peace resepecting actions of replevin was read once and three of the clock this afternoon assigned for a 2nd reading.

[Bill concerning assessment &c of taxes]
Bill additional concerning the assessment and collection of taxes came up indefinitely postponed and the Senate adhere to their former vote passing the same to be engrossed s.d.f.c.
