The petition of Solomon Thayer and others to be incorporated into a mining company was read and referred to the joint standing committee on Manufactures. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred. 

The petition of Philip Morrill and others, that an act for the encouragement of agriculture may be passed, was read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, in concurrence. 

The petition of inhabitants of plantation No.19 in relation to a bounty on Bears was read and referred to the same committee, in concurrence. 

The petition of inhabitants of Jonesborough for division of said town; 
" of Benjamin Freeman and others for division of Mount Desert; 
" of inhabitants of township No 4 for an act of incorporation, were severally read and referred to the joint standing committee on the incorporation of towns, in concurrence. 

The petition of Thomas Pennel and others to be annexed to New Portland; 
Remonstrance of John Fogg and others against being annexed to Milburn. 
" of inhabitants of Milburn against the petition of William Soule and others; 
" of inhabitants of Cornville against the same petition.
