Samuel Andrews and others for the incorporation of a town, and refer the same to the Committee on Incorporation of Towns, of which the House was informed by Message and their concurrence and the return of the papers requested.

The Senate reconsider the vote giving the Bill to incorporate the Enchanted Stream Canal Company a first reading and recommit the same.
Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill to incorporate the town of Stoneham came up amended. The Senate recede from their vote passing said Bill to be engrossed, adopt the proposed amendment, and pass the same to be engrossed as thus amended in concurrence.

Arnold, Weeks of Parsonsfield, Robinson of Hallowell, Webb of Windham, Metcalf, Carpenter, Hardy, Allen of Lubec, Robinson of Bethel and McCrate a Committee with such as the Senate may join to inquire into the expediency of so altering the law as to enlarge the Jurisdiction of Justices of the Peace in civil actions, also altering the fee Bill, with leave to report by bill or otherwise, read and Messrs.
