Marched Threw Warrenton Va 35

onto a mountain without any resistence. We then moved back about a mile and went into camp. We were short of rations and was very Hungry for our supply train was not allowed near the front. so we had to forage for food but could find but little except wild blackberries and they wer found in abundance.

25th We moved back out of the gap and south near the mountain. At night companys H, D, & G went on picket. Some of the boys captured a beehive full of honey, and the hive was swarming in the morning.

26th Marched within three miles of Warrinton and comfort.

27th We marched threw Warenton and three miles to the south and camped. A rumor that we are to stay here two weeks

28th Lay in camp. 29th I got a letter from Prentis. 30th Lay in camp. 31st In camp. Aug 1st Nothing of importence for a few days but the usual routine of duty.

3rd A detale to go to Bealton station. The remainder of us staid till about
