I wrote a letter to my brother Fredrick. 12th We had a verry heavy thunder shower last night 13th Showers in the morning and fair at night 14th Our Regt was paid off. I got $12, and $40 was held for the alastment roll The sulter returned from Washington 15th A detale for fatigue duty. They dug rifle pits on the bank of the river. A detale from as brigade for pickets. I stayed in camp.
