88 Relieved by the 9th Corps
I was detaled and went on picket in the evening. The rebs deserters came into our line just as we went on picket. We had a heavy shower in the evening.
Aug 15th Cloudy in the morning. Our division was relieved by some of the 9th corps. Troops moved in after sunrise and took our place all in sight of the rebel forts. The rebs got up on thair works and shouted to us where are you going, hadent you better charg before you go and we would like to have a drink with you before you leave etc. but all in good humor.
