Wm D King returned from Maine on a furlough. We have official notice of the death of Corpl Fred J Davis of our company. He died at Annapolis Maryland while at the dinner table. The cause of his death was exposure and starvation in a rebel prison pen. He had just been parolled and sent north but was to weak to recover.

10th It rained verry hard all the forenoon. A squad of men was detailed to out foraging but did not go on the account of rain. Rained untill 5 oclock P.M. It then began to blow, and looked like clearing off.
