February, Monday, 9. 1863. [day is empty]

Tuesday, 10. In quarters all day. received a letter from home and write one to a friend in Center Sidney, Me I received a couple of News Papers from home to day.

Wednesday, 11. I was on Picket Guard today about two miles from Camp. It has been very cold and uncomfortable on guard to day. I came into Camp at night and got my rations, for when I went on duty this morning I did not know where I was going so I did not take my rations with me.

Thursday, 12. To day, I was detailed to Capt. Tanner of the 124th Reg of N.Y. Vol to be an Orderly. for a General Court Martial that is to take place to day. had to go to Gen'l Williams Headquarters and to the 5th Conn. Regt. I was dismissed at 4 o'clock and then I came to camp.

Friday, 13. This morning at 8 oclock. I had to go out on Picket Guard, down at the Landing on [?] Creek To day has been a warm and bea- utiful day. it seems like a day in May. I wrote a letter home today.

Saturday, 14. Came off from Picket guard this morning at 8 o'clock got into Camp abought 10 o'clock and then I sent down to Stafford Court House and bought me some letter paper and Envelopes. came back to Camp and was in quarters the rest of the day.
