Andrew J. Getchell Co--"I" 2nd Regt Me Vols was wounded in 1st Battle Bull Run July 21/61--disch'd June 30/62 after being 10 ms a prisoner-- He applied for the $100 Bounty under act March [ ]/63 as having been discharged by reason of wounds record in Battle, he is clearly entitled-- The case having been referred to the Adjt Gen. office Washington-- was reported as follows-- "No evidence on file for what town the soldier was discharged. The c[?] was then returned to me to furnish the evidence. I sent the affidavit of his Capt. Gurnsey and Col Roberts, [?] to [?] point--They say Getchell was a [?] Co. "H" 2nd ME --Getchells discharge calls him of Co. "G" - they again return the papers to me with the following endorsement, "Respectfully returned The evidence is insufficient in that the affidavit states,
