Are the officers of Capt and Lieutenants in our newly organized companies liable to be drafted as privates? And is it their duty to enlist as privates? My only child S.O. Dinsmore aged 19 years was elected a few days ago as captain of the company in Medford. I do not feel it my duty to let him go to the war unless the demands are exceedingly urgent--to feel it my duty on such occasion to go with him if he must go--shall I be wanted?
