Bangor March 25th 1862

General

Henry W. Pollard a Private in Capt Sargents Co G 2nd Maine Vols was wounded and taken Prisoner at the battle of "Stone Bridge" the 21st of July and has never received the 14 days pay due him by the State of Maine he is now here and assisting Capt Sargent. He wishes you to send him the amt (5.13 I believe) and he will sign a receipt for it or if it is more proper he will sign a receipt and send it to you first
