[page 30] my floor. I know very little out of my hall. Am generally on duty myself and so haven't an opportunity of knowing as much perhaps as I should if I want about more. Q. You know pretty well about it on that floor? A. Yes, sir. I think the patients are all very well used. Q. How many attendants are there there on that floor? A. Seven. Q. Have you known them (the patients) to be left alone? A. No, sir. I haven't since I have been in the halls. I dont think there has been a hall left alone, not more, perhaps, than a moment or a few moments; perhaps there have been a few times; but I dont think it has been intended. Q. By accident? A. I think a short time ago one of the halls was left. Q. Has Miss. Clough visited you often down there? A. Yes, sir. Q. How often? A. She is down there once or twice and some times more than that, in a day. Q. Once or twice a day? A. Yes, she is in the lower first considerable of the time. Q. Is she there at meal time very often? A. Occasionally Q. Not every day? A. No, sir, not more than once
