We did not start to come back from Mount Jackson until abought 3 oclock in the afternoon did not have eny breakfirst or dinner. when we was coming back we stoped and milked our canteens full of milk from some cows by the road side. bought us a loaf of bread from a negro family. then we had some bread and milk. We was relieved from guard this afternoon at 2 oclock. I came back to camp and layed down and slept the rest of the afternoon
