   In camp in the forenoon. General Fremont is falling back to Strasburg with his army. The rebel General Jackson is advancing on Front Royal and Fremont iS falling back to stop him. We left Strasburg to day and joined the rest of our detachment at Front Royal.

  We was relieved from guard this afternoon at 2 oclock. I came back to camp and layed down and slept the rest of the afternoon
