I wish you to do me one more favour and that is to assist me in getting an appointment to the Regular Army And if you will take the trouble to wright to Senator Morrill and ask him to assist me you will do me a great kindness for which I may at some future day be able to repay you I think with your assistance and Senatory Morrills I could get the appointment
