I transmit herewith My Return of C.C.& G.Eq. for the month of April [stricken] March 1864 also vouchers 1, 2, 3 & 4 of my Return for April, for safe keeping & as I have no room to carry them, Please file them with my other papers when you receive them by Express--

We probably move tomorrow. We are ordered to have cooked rations for --- days tomorrow morning. My health is quite good now. [following sentence underlined:] Col. Rust was taken sick yesterday and will not be able to go with us.
