[Pay of members]

Agreeably to assignment the House proceeded to the consideration of the consideration of the Resolve providing for the pay of the members of the Council, Senate, and House of Representatives &c; when Mr Emery moved an amendment in these words "and be it further resolved that the several towns, districts and plantations [in this state] shall pay into the Treasury of the State such sum or sums as may be drawn therefrom for the attendance of any member of the House of Representatives from such Town, District, or Plantation respectively'
