Tuesday June 27th 1820
[Inhabts of Portland--] Petition of the Inhabitants of Portland praying that the laws respecting stage plays may be repealed. In Senate June 26 1820 Read and committed to the Committee who have under consideration the petition of James C Jewett and others. Sent down for concurrence. Read and concurred.
[Bill-- respecting Militia.] Bill "respecting the Militia" came down from the Senate with several amendments. The House concur with the Senate in their amendment, ["to" struck out] striking out the 10th Section of the Bill, and nonconcur in the other amendments made by the Senate and return the bill to the Senate.
[Resolve-- Inspectors.] Committee to whom was referred the Resolve from the Senate respecting Inspectors &c-- report-- a Resolve-- as a substitute. Read and passed. Sent up for concurrence.
