By a resolve of the General Court of the 5. instant, "a book "claimed by Mr. Robert Hewes, as being the publisher entitled "Rules & regulations for the sword exercise of the cavalry to which is added "the review exercise," is established as the uniform exercise of the cavalry "of this Commonwealth, & is to continue until the same shall be "superseded by a law of the United States." And the said resolve further "provides" that each commanding officer of a company of cavalry, each "field officer commanding a squadron of cavalry, & each major general "in this Commonwealth be furnished by the government with one of the "said books; to be transferred to their successors from time to time, as "they shall retire from office." The said books will be deposited in the office of the adjutant general for delivery.

Division will be assembled by regiments the present year for review of parade & inspection, military instruction & discipline - the first brigade between the 26. of August & the 2. of September, & the second brigade between the 10. & the 22. as Brigadier generals Wood & Chandler shall respectively order;
