26 [remonstrances] Remonstrances of Vienna against the formation of a new county from towns to be taken from Oxford Somerset and Kennebec - of sundry inhabitants of Farmington against a division of said Town - were severally read and referred to the committeee on Incorporation of Towns. Sent up for concurrence.

[Petition &c] Petitions of Jesse Roswell & others inhabitants of Jefferson and New Castle for an amendment of the laws regulating the fisheries - of Samuel Hadlock and others of Mt Desert for permission to ship herring packed in sealed boxes to any port within the U.S. without inspection - were read and referred to the committee on Interior Fisheries. Sent up for concurrence.

[Committee to inform the Governor that the two Houses are proceeding on public business] An order came from the Senate appointing Messrs Bond and Seaver with such as the House may join a committee to wait on the Governor and inform him that the two branches of the Legislature are proceeding on public business and are ready to receive any communication he may be pleased to make to them, which was concurred in by the House and Messrs Moody, Trafton & Means were joined.

Ordered, that when this House adjourns it will adjourn, to meet at this place at nine o clock tomorrow morning.
