The commissioners appointed on the parts of Masachusetts + Maine pursuant to the provis-ions of the Act of separation, having made a representa-tion of their proceedings up to the 17th of November last, I communicate the same to the two branches of the Legislature for their information.

From the report there is reason to expect, that, in the course of the ensuring season, much progress will be made in effecting a just division of the person-al property belonging to the two States, and that such a portion of the public land will be divided, as well enable the Comissioners to set of by meter[?] + bound so much from the share of Massachusetts as in their estimation shall be of the value of thirty thous-and dollars; whereby the parent State may be en—
