Agreeably to assignment the two Houses met in convention at 1/2 past 12 o oclock when Daniel Merrill Esq Counsellor elect, came in and took & subscribed the oaths required by the Constitution & laws to qualify him for the discharge of the duties of that office - and then he withdrew - after which the Senate withdrew.
