Petition of Timothy Fletcher and others for an alteration in the law respecting sales at auction - was read and referred to Messrs Todd, Butterfield & Brown.
[Bill - town of Addison to build a Bridge]
Bill, to authorize the town of Addison, to erect a bridge across the West branch of Pleasant river in sd. town - was, read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill, in addition to an act regulating the selection, empannelling and service of Jurors" was reported & the amendments proposed by the Senate st A & B non-concurred. Sent up.
[Bill - salary of Chief Justice of C.C.P.]
Bill, increasing the salary of the present Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas" was reported with amendments which were adopted. - The question on passing it to be engrossed was then taken and decided in the negative - yeas 47 nays 82.

Petition, of James Burleigh & others of Waterville for an amendment of the Militia law - was read & referred to so much of the Governors message as relates to the Militia.
