Ordered, That the Secretary of State be directed to inform the Governor that the two Houses of the Legislature have elected John Holmes Esquire a Senator to represent this State in the Senate of the United States from and after the 3d day of March next - and that the Governor be requested to furnish that gentleman with the credentials necessary to entitle him to his seat in that body from and after the time aforesaid.
