[Resolve postponed] The engrossed Resolve authorizing the Treasurer of the State to receive the notes of certain Banks in payment of taxes and debts due the state - was indefinitely postponed in concurrence with the House -

[Report of committee of conf. on Clerk hire-] Mr Wheeler from the Committee of Conference respecting the disagreement of the two Houses on the Resolve making allowance for Clerk hire to the Secretary of State, Adjutant General and Treasurer reported that they had met and conferred with the Committee on the part of the House - and that the Senate ought to adhere to their vote passing the Bill aforesaid to be engrossed - which report was accepted -

[Poor debtor's engrossed bill amended] Mr Green from the Committee on engrossed Bills reported the Bill for the relief of poor debtors as truly copied except in the fourth section, lst line but one, where the word 'said' should be 'such' - and in the twenty third section where the word 'place of' should be inserted between usual and abode o- which amendments being made and adopted - the Secretary was directed to request the concurrence of the House therein. A message was received from the House that they had concurred in the foregoing amendments -
