Committee on so much of the Governors Message of 2nd June last as relates to the Militia, who were by a joint Order instructed to enquire "whether the Major Generals elected by the Legislature of the Common-wealth of Massachusetts hold and perform the duties of their Offices agreeably to the provisions of the Constitution" - report - That they have ^had[inserted above] the subject under consideration and are unanimously of opinion that the said Major Generals do hold and perform the duties of their offices agreeably to the provisions of the Constitution and ask leave to be discharged from the further consideration of the subject.
