[Message of Governor respecting division of Military Stores of Massachusetts & Maine] The Secretary of State came in and laid on the table the following message from the Governor - to wit -

"To the Senate and House of Representatives
 +
The Commissioners appointed on the part of this State, under the Act of Separation, having stated that a division of the ordnance[ordinance] and military stores between the States of Massachusetts and Maine will be effected before the sixteenth of March next. I transmit their communication for the information of the Legislature - and suggest the expediency of making provision for the preservation of such portion thereof as shall fall to the share of this State.

Which being read was committed - together with the papers accompanying the same to Messrs. Green and Holland with such as might be joined by the House - sent down for concurrence - came up concurred and Messrs. Means, Burr & Morse were joined on the part of the House.

[Bills] Bill to incorporate the South Berwick Bank - was referred to the next Legislature according to the report of the Committee who last had the same under consideration - Sent down for concurrence.

Bill to establish the Salaries of the Justices of the Court of Common Pleas - reported by the Committee who had that subject under consideration - was read - and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for the second reading, and committed to the Committee on Bills in the second reading.

[Resolve] Mr. McDonald from the Committee to whom that subject was referred - Reported a

Resolve for the payment of the Chaplains - which was read and tomorrow, 10 o'clock assigned for second reading and committed.
