i am informed that there will soon be a new appointment to the office of Agent for the Penobscot Tribe of Indians. If such be the case permit me to reccommend [recommend] Frederic H Dillingham of this city as a fit and suitable person to perform the duties of this office and to ask that he be appointed by you to the same.
