[Jan. 16. 1822] [Petitions committed] The Petition of the Selectmen and other Inhabitants of the town of Brooks praying that Belfast be made a half shire town of the county of Hancock committed in the House to the joint standing Committee on Incorporation of towns, also the following Petitions - of Selectmen and others, inhabitants of Thorndike " Selectmen and others, inhabitants of Swanville and " Selectmen and others, inhabitants of Knox praying the same as the foregoing - and committed to the same committee came up for concurrence - and they were all severally read and committed to said Committee in concurrence with the House.

["] The following petitions read and committed in the House to the joint standing committee on New Trials - came up for concurrence to wit - The Petition of the Selectmen of New Portland praying for an abatement of their State Tax, and Petition of John May for a new trial - and they were severally read and committed to the same Committee in concurrence with the House.

["] The petition of the Inhabitants of North Yarmouth for an amendment of the School law, committed in the House to Messrs. Emery, Kendall and Weymouth with such as the Senate may join, came up for concurrence - Read and concurred, and Messrs. Ripley and Dennett were joined on the part of the Senate.

["] The petition of Ebenezer Poor and others for the incorporation of an Agricultural Society, committed in the House to the joint standing committee on applications for manufacturing companies - came up for concurrence - Read and committed to the same committee in concurrence with the House.
