[Reports] Mr. Ripley from the joint committee to whom was referred the petition of the town of Dresden for alteration of the pauper laws, reported that petitioners have leave to withdraw their petition - Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence - came up concurred.

Mr. Bond from the Committee on New Trials reported that the Town of Newry petitioners for abatement of taxes, and John May for a new trial - have severally leave to withdraw their petitions - which reports were accepted and sent down for concurrence - came up concurred.

[Sessions Act.] Ordered that Messrs. O'Brien and Seaver, with such as the House may join be a committee to consider what alterations are necessary in the law establishing the Courts of Sessions passed June 27, 1820 with leave to report by bill or otherwise. Sent down for concurrence - came up concurred - and Messrs. Bartlett, Wood and Perry were joined on the part of the House.

[Laws to be purchased] On motion, Ordered that Messrs. Green and Poor, with such as the House may join be a committee to contract, in such manner as they may think most advantageous to the State, for one hundred and fifty copies of the laws of Maine for the use of the State, to be distributed agreeable to a Resolve passed March 15, 1821 - sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred and Messrs. Dennett, Curtis and Elder were joined on the part of the House.
