Ordered that the committee on New Trials be instructed to enquire as to the expediency of so altering the Laws regulating Registers of Deeds that they may be exempted from the duty of seventeen cents now required by law on all instruments by them recorded where the income of their respective offices shall not exceed - dollars - read & passed.
