[84] [1822 Jan 18] [Petitions &c. committed] The following Remonstrances and Petitions committed in the House to the Joint Standing Committee on Incorporation of Towns came up for concurrence to wit - The remonstrance of the Selectmen of Bethel against the petitions for a new county by dismemberment of Oxford, Somerset &c also remonstrance of the town of Waterford against the same petitions - and the Petition of Edwin Townsend and others praying that part of the county of Washington may be set off to Penobscot - and they were severally read and committed to the same committee in concurrence with the House.
