[Bills] Bill to regulate the right of roads read a second time as taken into a new draft - and committed to Messrs McDonald and Poor. - Bill to establish the Calais Boom Corporation passed to be engrossed in the House came up for concurrence - Read and committed to Messrs Dennett and Bond - & tomorrow at ten o’clock assigned for a second reading.

[Resolve] Mr Poor from the Committee to whom was referred the Governor’s message of the 22d instant - reported a Resolve authorizing the State Treasurer to suspend the purchase of a standard of weights and measures - which was read and passed to be engrossed - sent down for concurrence -

[Resolve reconsidered & amended] On motion by Mr Bond the vote passed yesterday adopting the amendment proposed by the Committee on he Resolve fixing the compensation of the members of the Legislature - was so far reconsidered as to strike out the amendments respecting the compensation of the Secretary of the Senate and assistant sonf the Clerk of the House and assistant - and the Resolve as amended was passed to be engrossed - sent down for concurrence
