I wrote you the day we left Willet's Point in relation to Dr A.D. Palmer who has been attached to the Reg't in the Capacity of Hospital Steward. I have since thought that in the hurry & confusion of leaving the letter might have got misplaced, & not have reached its destination & therefore address you again on the same subject. Dr Palmer was very anxious indeed to join the Reg't in some capacity, & I told him
