On motion by Mr. Stebbins, Ordered that the Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions be instructed to inquire into the expediency of distributing to each College in this State a copy of the Acts and Resolves of the State and of such acts and Resolves as may be annually passed by the Legislature, with leave to report by Bill or otherwise. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.

Bill authorizing a Lottery for improving the navigation of Kennebec River came back from the House amended and the Senate reconsidered their former vote, adopted the amendment proposed and passed the same to be engrossed as amended in concurrence

Agreeably to notice Mr. Kimball moved a reconsideration of the vote referring the Bill establishing the County of Waldo to the next Legislature and ordering the same to be printed, and on taking the question the motion prevailed, and the Bill was committed to Messrs Kimball, Butman and Stebbins

Mr. Williams from the Conferees on the Resolve in favor of Josiah Towle reported that they had been unable to agree with the conferees on the part of the House and recommend that the Senate adhere to their vote passing the Resolve to be engrossed as amended. Read and accepted, and the Senate voted to adhere according.
